OK, so that's the deal with Ridley Scott's "Prometheus".. As a prequel to Scott's "Alien", it does serve well but is it enough?. As a stand-alone story it ain't Blade Runner level, neither has it the realistic touch of original "Alien".. Prometheus is not Nostromo. As a philosophical allegory, it ain't Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" either. Add to this, the end is somewhat cheap and as thus, adds to disappointment.. All together +++, but if you are an avid student of the genre, you should go to decide.

Here's the story with Science Fiction and greatness. Hampton Fancher wrote Blade Runner based on a Phillip "So many great stories it's impossible to name them all" K. Dick short story. Dan "Dark Star Blue Thunder Heavy Metal Total Recall" O' Bannon wrote Alien. Prometheus was written by Damon "Nash Bridges" Lindelof and Jon "The Darkest Hour" Spaihts. Guess that tells us all we need to know. #iwantanapologyfromridleyscott
