In my short walk with the Lord i've realised dat willpower is absolutely useless in overcoming sin. We cannot apply psychology to overcoming sin. There is one way only and that is the cross.such as no one can crucify himself, so can one by himself not be able to overcome sin. there are some things you can naturally do, like the rich young ruler, but to surrender all you need the supernatural power of God.
