By having only two position players returning this year, the Gamecocks have proven why the baseball program is one of the elite in the Nation! To make it back to the championship series of the College World Series is remarkable!!! Even if your not a Gamecock fan and live in South Carolina I would say you'd have to be proud of what this team has done for the Palmetto State.

Well the two finalist are in in the College World Series and it will end either Monday or Tuesday. Can't say I care who wins this one. Was really pulling for Stony Brook as was most of the fans, but they came up short. But with all that being said...is it me or has the umpiring been really bad this year? It just isn't at the level of the caliber of play and certainly doesn't meet the standards of the CWS.
