Most people have someone they consider their hero (family not included) when they are growing up. Well, as a huge baseball fan, I was a big fan of Steve Garvey and even tried to imitate his batting stance. Well, it took me 42 years and 9 months to actually see and speak to my baseball hero but the event happened last Saturday at a minor league baseball game. Here was the dialogue (verbatim)...

Garvey: Dinner, huh?
Me: (wait for this witty reply) Yep!
I talked to my hero with a word that's not even in the dictionary but it was still pretty cool!

obama offerred the republicans 10 dollars in spending cuts to one dollar in increased revenues and they turned it down. I think compromise is a four letter word in the Republican dictionary. can anyone say "my way or the highway". Like i said i am not a democrat even thought i am liberal.
