Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for portions of southern Ontario, including parts of the Greater Toronto Area. Areas under the watch include Halton Hills, Milton, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Uxbridge and northern Durham Region.

“Again it seems that your government is not concerned with obtaining the facts and is ignoring the environmental impacts in lieu of paving the way for industry to self-regulate and manage its environmental affairs,” - They don't sound confused to me.. Environment Canada says it recorded a high of 34.6 C at Pearson International Airport at the height of the heat wave. That's slightly higher than the old record of 34.4 C recorded in 1944 and in 1988.

"After experiencing one of the mildest springs on record, the province is expected to have a warmer than normal summer". David Phillips, senior climatologist with Environment Canada, says. Did I miss this mildest spring, I don't recall it. Bring on the warmer than normal summer.
