hatfield mccoy feud

(✿ σ_σ)

Watching the Hatfield-McCoy feud? If you are one of my Musick family side, we are related to them by marriage.

Our Gr-Gr-Gr Uncle David Musick and family were attacked by Indians. He was killed, but in the party rescuing his family was Ephraim Hatfield, who later married David's widow, Gr-Gr- Aunt, Annie McKinney Musick. So we were a small part of that feud... watch for Ephraim's wife in the current TV series. Here's the story of David Musick Indian Raid. Scroll to the bottom for read about Aunt Annie.

Everyone is talking about the Hatfield-McCoy feud because of the TV program, but did you know about other Kentucky feuds? Hill-Evans, Baker-White, French-Eversole, Turner-Howard and perhaps one of the worst the Martin-Tolliver feud, sometimes called the Rowan County War.
Just do a Internet search on Kentucky feuds or famous Kentucky feuds for some good summer reading.

As much as I've read about the Hatfield-McCoy feud over the years, I'd always wondered exactly what it was that sparked the whole ordeal. It's interesting to actually see a dramatization of what happened that's so true to history to actually shed some light on how it began. It's one thing to read about it, its something else entirely to actually see it acted out.......anyway, time to finish up some laundry and call it a night. Back to the station tomorrow. :)
