Shocked to read in today's Irish News that Eugene Moloney was murdered in Dublin on Saturday night. Eugene's family lived next door to us on the Cavehill Road and they were always great friends to us. Their mother was one of the kindest women I have ever met. Eugene was a great friend and was a former Malachian as well. To his brother Sean and sister Roisin and all his friends and family may I extend my greatest sympathy and that of my family. A great, great guy may he rest in peace, I will remember him in my prayers.

So is this what the face of 'evil' looks like? A jury of his peers has spolen and it appears it's gonna' be a very long time before or if he is ever released! Has 'true justice' been served? Must give shoutout to two dedicated prosecutors who got both balls rolling- PA Attorney General Linda Kelly for the Sandusky conviction, and former Philly DA Lynne Abraham, whose bombshell grand jury report paved the way for The Monsignor in cold storage. Bad mistake on his attorney's part to tell the jury in his opening statement that they would HEAR Sandusky testify and then NOT have Sandusky testify. Buried in the paper because of the sandusky trial was the conviction of Msgr. William J. Lynn. a former cardinal's aide, of covering up sexual abuses by priests under his supervision. He is the first (and I hope not the last) senior official of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States convicted of this crime. When the slimeball Lynn would find out about a pedophile priest, he would tell the people in that parish that the priest was leaving for "health reasons". Lynn would then move the pedophile to another parish so he could molest more children. I hope Lynn shares the same cell with Sandusky and they both get abused by other prisoners.

Developing: Sandusky Defense Attorney Joe Amendola says "the Sandusky family is disappointed." He says "Jerry Sandusky is disappointeid." He thinks the jury acted in "good faith." He adds that because of the overwhelming amount of evidence against Jerry Sandusky he wasn't surprised by the verdict. He says there will be appeals. He congratulates the prosecution on their case. He says the threat of Sandusky's son Matt testifying he was abused by his dad (something that came out late in the case) kept his client from testifying as he wanted to.

Jerry Sandusky's sentence should be just one day...handcuffed and shackled naked in the middle of the general population of the toughest prison in America.

Perhaps, then, he would have at least SOME idea what he has put those innocent babies through. The only difference is that he would deserve everything that happened to him, while they simply didn't.
