Shocked to read in today's Irish News that Eugene Moloney was murdered in Dublin on Saturday night. Eugene's family lived next door to us on the Cavehill Road and they were always great friends to us. Their mother was one of the kindest women I have ever met. Eugene was a great friend and was a former Malachian as well. To his brother Sean and sister Roisin and all his friends and family may I extend my greatest sympathy and that of my family. A great, great guy may he rest in peace, I will remember him in my prayers.

So apparently the victim of the Miami attack lost 50% of his face but is walking around and talking, they say he is in good spirits. But upon further research the DEA has released the fact that the euphoric "Bath Salt" was introduced to America in 2010 and in that year, there was 300 cases of suicidal, aggravated assault and panic attacks. Then in 2011, that number jumped to 6,000 cases, which is estimated only 25% were actually reported. And along with the most famous attack in Miami, the next day a homeless man walked into a diner going crazy and when a cop tried to subdue him, he tried to bite his hand. Be safe people these are new and strange times.

Big weekend coming up for our Miss Taleah Cunliffe. Opening ceremony tonight of the NTH QLD games, Exciting with being apart of the parade, lighting of the flame festivities and fireworks to boot. Tomorrow 10.15 start playing 7 half hour netball games every hour, then back nice an early on Sunday for 8.15 game playing 5 games till 1pm. Shall definitley have the esky full of goodies to help keep her energized for the duration. Wonder if I shall have a voice on Monday he he two days of cheering her team on. Shall be a recharge day for all I imagine on Monday!
