Random thought that will only make sense to those that have seen the Alien prequel, "Prometheus":

Could that "Engineer" C-shaped ship the crew of the Nostromo found on LV-426 be the same ship that Shaw and David took from LV-223? This would make sense if they are planning another prequel to fit right in between Prometheus and Alien. Hmmm.

Throwing a Giger art and an android into a movie does not justify calling Prometheus an Alien prequel. The movie lacked so much connection to the original concept source material that they even had to throw in a kinda-sorta-not-really alien birth scene at the very end to remind people. As if to say "Hey everybody, remember those scary Aliens?" Also, since when do scientists base their research on what they "choose to believe"?
