Tomorrow I take the train to Anchorage. I will be having cataract surgery. Thankfully my daughter, Elizabeth Hancock, will be helping me get around and can accompany me to my appointments. I am apprehensive and excited about the surgery. My right eye, my non-dominant eye, is pretty hazy. After this it might be better then new. The actual operation will be Thursday and I will fly back to Fairbanks on Friday.

This marathon was an amazing exp but it has officially kicked my butt! The Course involved over 8 miles of off road running that has crushed my legs and i can barely walk. My feet are taped up from blisters and now i am at the Anchorage airport on a delayed red eye flight. I am dreaming of my home sweet home!!

We rode a customized motor coach from Anchorage to just outside of Denali National Park. We ate sockeye salmon and pork ribs with all the fixings, and saw a show at the Cabin Nite Dinner Theater.

Anchorage for the week, one of the most obvious scenes of God's creative power, wow! I love my Lord, He created it all and holds it together by His Word. Blessings fom a Jesus follower.

I sat in front of the Anchorage visitors center on Saturday for a couple of hours soaking in the scene, people watching. If Facebook doesn't have enough drama for you, well, I think I've found your new pastime.

My Family went to the Anchorage Baptist Temple Annual Picnic & Carnival this afternoon. We enjoyed ourselves very much and of course we ate a lot. It was a cloundy day but pleasant and it did not rain; thank God.
