This morning I am inspired by “Hunger Games.” Spent a couple of hours washing two weeks of whites and colors by hand, saving all water for flushing toilets and watering plants. I envy Peeta and Katniss for having rocks to beat their clothes on. I do have the advantage of running water, though…for now. No rain in weeks. Kind of scary. Rinsed off my sweaty body in the ocean before taking a very brief shower.
It’s funny how with no reminders of home, survival isn’t all-bad. It’s when I hear a familiar song that my heart sinks. Not as bad as it sounds. It just is.
God is good - all the time!!!!
