VICTORIA has been shaken by its largest earthquake in three decades. Geoscience Australia spokesman Chris Thompson said further analysis from seismologists had downgraded the earthquake’s magnitude from 5.5 to 5.3 just after 10pm.
Up to four aftershocks have been felt surrounding the earthquake’s epicentre in the La Trobe Valley in the state’s east.
