Grand Rapids

٩(●ᴥ•)۶

Will be off to Grand Rapids soon. We are going to a retirement party for my wife's brother. I'm hoping I get a chance to stop at Hobby Lobby or Michael's to check out their art supplies. I've tried a couple of paintings the last couple of days but have been very disatisfied with how they came out. I'm learning that for every "success" (at least in my eyes), comes at least a couple of failures (at least in my eyes), but with each failure I learn what NOT to do. Makes me wonder what would happen if one could scrape through the paint, layer by layer, of the masters, if failures would be discovered. :)

Amnesty Plan Bad News for the Unemployed?

"Depending on how you look at it, President Barack Obama's executive order on immigration is either good news for young illegal immigrants who can now apply for work permits, or bad news for the nation's unemployed workers who now face more competition for jobs," says the Grand Rapids Press.

"The policy could impact about 800,000 immigrants, The New York Times reported. That's bad news for the millions of unemployed workers nationwide, said K.C. McAlpin, executive director of U.S. Inc., a Petoskey-based foundation that researches immigration issues."

It's brave! It's bold (kinda like us)! It's called "Nadia" and it auditions at Spectrum Theater, Room 211, tomorrow at 2PM. If you think you have what it takes, why don't you come on down and read for director Stephanie Sandberg? Audition sides at the link below... http://actorstheatregrandrapids.org/auditions
