Gumtree actively supports the illegal sale of protected animals by allowing the advertiser not to quote licence numbers.
Legislative warnings have been issued by the government, however Gumtree places profit in favour of our most precious wildlife.
People are taking wildlife and selling it on line as this site allows it to occur.
I have wrote to them and the Fauna Permit Unit around the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 and the Animal Welfare Act 1985 requirements however as usual no one does anything until it is in the open !
Support the cause to stop this by emailing the Fauna Permit Unit at investigators@sa.gov.au and spread the word.

Ah, cruel reality. I dreamed someone on gumtree was selling a brand new matchless spinning wheel for £60 coz they couldn't figure out how to assemble it. It seemed so real it actually woke me up and drove me to the PC to check gumtree. Alas, it was NOT a psychic dream... :-(
