Last night I was showing my wonderful boyfriend the old town I used to live in & all the places I used to live & hang out (cause I can with google maps *thank you*) and I went to once certain place and come to find out, its not there anymore. Instantly I started crying because it was like my whole childhood was gone, cause that once place I went, I knew I would be safe & taken care of no matter what- is now gone. Why did it take me so long to look and see if it was still there? Why did I look to see if it was still there? Maybe so I could have one glimmer of hope, That maybe your trucks would still be out front? Maybe see you out front?

While researching unknown towns who have posted ads for math teachers I fire up Google Maps. I drop the "little yellow man" on the map to see the camera photos. It does not bode well for a town when the first and second thing I see are trailer parks.
