The 25-foot statue of a sailor kissing a nurse in WWII time in San Diego since 2007 on loan was removed around last Memorial Day this year. It was a good thing that we saw it last year on the tip from my Gally classmate who saw it a year before. Oh well, now, there is the 26-foot statue of Marilyn Monroe in Palm Springs downtown (relocated from Chicago) starting last month and according to Palm Springs Visitor Bureau, it may stay for about a year. Hope we will see it in the near future on our way to Phoenix. The bronze version of the sailor/nurse statue will be permanently installed in San Diego by the end of this year. http://kfmb.m0bl.net/w/main/story/62627767/

To my friends in the Phoenix metro area I'm not going to move out that way anytime soon. I'm basing this on the following.
The CAP is losing almost as much water as it supplies.
The drought is going to get worse to crisis stage during our life times.
Phoenix is not alone in this there is not enough water to go around truth.
Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, and Palm Springs are not sustainable.

A proud moment for mama.....On my way to my son's first pre-season basketball game for Palm Springs High School! I'm so proud of you Anthony Campbell for all of your hard work and for making the team! I can't wait to see you in action. Way to go love - you're going pro! GO INDIANS!
