Rodney King died yesterday--sad if you have kept up with his struggles with addiction. I'll never forget doing a Gym Master show in LA weeks after the rioting after his verdict. Normandy Elementary was the name of this school in the inner city--all of us "white boys" and "white girls" were scared to death with the tough neighborhood surroundings. The show was great--kids were just awesome. Everybody on the team was touched by those kids. It was hard to believe that just weeks before, on Normandy Avenue, the Rodney King riots were going on. I believe Rodney King was a person of addiction; he suffered from it for years. I hope to see him in Heaven.
