Today is MidSummer in Sweden! Maypoles are going up all over the islands! I've been told that this is the biggest holiday of the year— bigger than Christmas. After a long winter, folks want to celebrate summer, especially on the sunny days we've had lately. Swedes, everywhere, have complained about the weather in June— more rain this June than in any other June for the past 100 years. Yesterday was the busiest day for flights of the whole year.

For those of you who wonders what happened to my job hunting, I can gladly tell that I´m starting my new job today in a villa in Cap Ferrat. Same job as on a yacht but I will be land based this summer.
Wish everyone a good season and we´ll be seeing the rest of you back in Sweden in August!

important lessons when learning Swedish: the word for "Spirit" and the word for "Duck" are very similar, especially when spoken. If one were to mix them up they might ask just what kind of Trinity the Church of Sweden is teaching over there.
