Shocked to read in today's Irish News that Eugene Moloney was murdered in Dublin on Saturday night. Eugene's family lived next door to us on the Cavehill Road and they were always great friends to us. Their mother was one of the kindest women I have ever met. Eugene was a great friend and was a former Malachian as well. To his brother Sean and sister Roisin and all his friends and family may I extend my greatest sympathy and that of my family. A great, great guy may he rest in peace, I will remember him in my prayers.

Eugene Moloney: a colleague who was always generous with his stories and humorous as well! A difficult thing to be during the troubles in the North!
