Congratulations to Webb Simpson for winning the US Open. What a great match. And a big congrats to Beau Hossler, the 17 year old amateur who made it to the leaderboard along with the likes of Furyk, Simpson, McDowell, Els and such. What an achievement for that young man. He should be very proud. He'll be one to watch for in the near future.

Beau Hossler got most of the media attention (probably deservedly so) but Jordan Spieth shot 1 under par for the last two days of the US Open to finish as the low amateur. Jordan shot 1 under par the last two days to finish at seven over. Hossler - 17 years old - shot 70 76 for a 219 total, 9 over. Spieth is a Texas Longhorn and Hossler will be when he finishes High School.

congrats to webb simpson, furyk, graeme, and especially beau hossler. brings hope to see people who don't have the perfect swing, but a swing that was practiced over and over until it was perfect for him. a true inspiration watching it.
oh and btw, the miami heat suck and the thunder are taking em in 7.
