Claire and Jake just arrived in Binghamton, NY and are on their way to Cooperstown Dreams Park (about a 50 minute drive).
A full week of baseball starts Sunday. Tomorrow, he's representing the team in the Road Runner Competition (speed around the bases).
Wish I could be there with him, but Jake and I have already traveled all over GA for 50 or so games, so it's mom's turn to have the fun. And I have a sore shoulder to prove he's been working hard in the batting cage, so I expect a good week.

Soooo...the morning rag reports that there was a large heroin (?sp) drug bust a block away from my house...and it was reported by an anonymous informant. First, the perp was a Binghamton man, 38 yrs old...so it wasn't the kid hanging around my house...makes me wonder (since he hasn't been around the last two days) if HE was the informant. Second, pretty sad when it's a citizen catching the drug deals...and not the cops doing the leg work. Hmmm...that would require putting down their donuts and coffee...and leaving their squad cars.
