Bloomfield just had to be like the cool kids and catch on fire like Fort Collins... needs about another 40 thousand acres though... hope you all are safe, keep windows closed and kiddos indoors if you smell or see smoke. We are going on week two of the High Park fire in Fort Collins, 53+ thousand acres and over 100 structures (including homes) burned, countless displaced... pray for rain!

The sun was a welcomed sight today after being blocked by smoke-filled skies all yesterday. However the temps were scorching today. God help all those affected by these devastating fires. http://www.9news.com/rss/story.aspx?storyid=272991&fb_ref=artsharetop&fb_source=other_multiline

Another time lapse of the High Park Fire at Sunset. You can see the plume of black smoke develop while the fire catches some tinder. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=audW1DqgC5Q&feature=share

From Pam Jennings: Despite the super-hot temps, a record-setting 101, I was told, the wind was not bad today. Just got the following update from the Larimer Sheriff's Dept Website: : "The High Park Fire is now estimated at 58,770 acres with 50% containment. This is the lowest daily growth we have had to date."
It was nice to feel normal for the day, and sit outside a little while the girls tie-dyed t-shirts!
